Los Magueyes Mexican Grill: Experience Authentic Tex-Mex Delights in Largo, FL

Doesn't look like much from outside, but walking into this lovely place we were greeted by a large fountain and a festive atmosphere- seated in Comfortable booths by the window with perfect lighting. Nice and cool on a hot day. We went at 4pm before a meeting, and our waitress, Helene, kept everything coming quickly with a smile. Big margaritas with pink salt- next time I will try a specialty marg- they had one with lychee, but we went for traditional this time. I wanted to try the MOLE, and I was able to order a side dish. It really hit the spot- just a bit of spice but all the smoke and texture and complex flavors I was craving. Ate it with our chips as a second salsa, but would love to try the enchiladas with mole! I ordered the birria quesadilla, which came with cup of flavorful dipping sauce. Perfectly cooked, cheesy goodness perfect for soaking up the boozy margs. My friend ordered veggie quesadillas full of spinach and mushrooms, and she said the refried beans were excellent. That mole, though. Dang! We will definitely be back!!

Went here for the first time last night with Kris. I ordered the Burrito Patron while my wife ordered El Combo: G Beef taco, Beef enchilada and a G beef Poblano. Excellent food! Our waitress was Michelle and she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Large portions! We definitely could have split a meal! Best Mexican food I had around the Largo area! We will definitely return!

I love coming here for lunch with the girls or dinner with the family. The food is always amazing as well as the service. Although I didn't have one today, they make killer margaritas!!

It was a Great Surprise…I’ve visited just about all the top Mexican Restaurants in the Tampa Bay area! Several top contenders…all have their “special touch”, But, I have to say, a great greeting from my server “Emma” and the “I think the best Margarita/Amaretto…”Not overly sour mix!” , I’ve ever tasted! The atmosphere (see pics) made it a great dinner experience!

I almost didn’t go to this restaurant based on some of the reviews. There were some that were very positive though, so I thought why not!! Whoever said the food is bland you have no taste buds. Lol. I got the Pastor tacos that were recommended by the server based on the two things I was considering. She said definitely choose what I got. I highly appreciate a server that can make a god honest recommendation. Not only was the food really good and full of flavor, the portions were big and the server Helene was excellent. I will definitely be back!

First time eating here. Was seated promptly, no wait at all. Staff were nice. Drinks tasted like water. Food was just okay, nothing great but also not bad. Probably wouldn’t eat here again.
